HELP!HELP!HELP!!!!!
As stated I have tryouts tomorrow. I'm supposed to play the F chromatic scale for one thing and I'm kind of unsure about some things.
Do you slur all the way? Slur all the way up, tongue high F, and come back down slurring? Tongue all the way????
I'm not sure, but I need to know tonight!!!

Thanks for the help!
I actually have to play two octaves, but I'll attempt to get it all down tonight. If I still don't know I guess I'll just ask the senior clarinetist who's coming with us. We have no other oboes at my school, so I've been going nuts over all sorts of things. Plus I'm trying out for two instruments, and I've only played oboe for a month.

thanks though!

Oh well, I didn't make it on oboe, but I made it on mallets. My mallets tryouts were
supposed to an hour before oboe tryouts BUT they were running so late that I ended up
trying out for mallets at the exact time I was to try out for oboe. I did pretty well,
made second chair. THen I ran to get some water and soaked my reed as I walked to oboe
tryouts. Right when I got there, after 30 seconds of soaking my reed, the woman MADE me
go in. So my reed was really dry and I barely got it to work out. It's not much of a
letdown. I knew after I tried out that I wouldn't make it.

I'm happy though, a ton of my friends made it, so I'll be with them.

That's ok! It's really good that you tried, and at least you made it on mallets!
