Hiya Kristen I'm Lorenzo! lol

Umm is there absolutely no way you can ask your guardians (or whoever is paying for it)to chip in A LOT more money?

It's possible, but still highly unlikely you will find a good quality Oboe for 100 bucks.

Look on Ebay. They may have something in your range.

You might get lucky & find a reasonable one being sold by someone who doesn't know the value of them. On the other hand there are many museum pieces & battered heaps of junk out there. You say it's OK if it needs reapirs - beware that the cost of these could easily be well in excess of what you paid for it. Please get advice from an oboe expert before buying anything.

Good luck.

Are you sure you can't spend any more than that? It is EXTREMELY difficult to find an oboe at that price! The cheapest used oboe I've seen was £250($400). As instrument crazy said, you might be able to find one on eBay, but you must be cautious on that site. Also, look for ones on local trading sites! I got a used Yamaha YPC-32 piccolo for £120($193) for those who know the value of these! Also, be patient!!!
That's all I can add!
Good Luck!

Pryface: Thanks for agreeing with me!

Just one thing... STAY AWAY FROM JUPITOR!!! I had to rent one over the summer, it was awful!
