How about "Gabriel's Oboe" by Ennio Morricone, that he wrote for the film "The Mission".

O.k., then, what about Concerto in D minor by Alessandro Marcello. Perhaps just the adagio movement. It is beautiful and perhaps long enough for what you want. Let us know what you decide.

I timed it and its 2 minutes and 55 seconds long. I will slow it down and make it three minutes. Thank you so much for your help.

Can it have a piano accompaniment? You could do R. Shumann's Romances. If one of them isn't long enough, I'll continue to look for something myself as I will be auditioning for a local orchestra, and I'll keep you posted on any valid audition material I find that you might be interested in.

Anything thats not to techincal. but it has has has to be 3-5 min. I tried slowing the other peice down more and it didnt work out to well. So I will check out R. Shumann's Romances. Thanks.

No prob. If that doesn't work out, you could try one/a couple of G. F. Handel's Sonata No. 1

Rubank's Advanced Oboe Method Vol. 2. has the first movement of Shumann's Romances and also the first two movements of Handel's Sonata No. 1.

How about The Winters Passed by Wayne Barlow? It's pretty and it sounds cool with dynamics and stuff

I dont really want something with a piano accompany because well when i audition there will be no piano. And something with a little technicality is best.

I'm not sure if it will be technical enough for you, but you could try Menuetto and Presto from Trio V by F.J. Haydn. Also, some sonatas and solos with accompaniments are find to do without the accompaniment. Some movements of Handel's Sonata No. 1 are okay, and if you really want more technicality, go with Poulenc's Oboe Sonata's 2nd movement--Scherzo. It possibly might be okay without the piano though there is one.

I'll continue to search for more options.
