OMFG everyone single good oboist in my school is asian haha, im azn and im first chair for my orchestra and my band.. GRANDNESS!!

I`m from Florence, Arizona, USA. About half-way between Phoenix and Tucson. I started on Tuba, then trumpet, baritone horn plus a little trombone and French horn. After high school I played Euphonium/Baritone Horn in the U.S.Army.Later I kept it up more or less in community and/or college bands for about twenty years (yes,I`m an old fart of 51 years) and got tired of it. I always liked the beauty and delicasy of the oboe and took it up. After so many years in bands, I figured that I knew how to practice and a year of steady work would let me master the basics.HA HA HA!
After five years now, I`m getting a clue! But I`m no longer bored! I don`t know where I`m going to end up with this, but I`m enjoying the ride!
