I want to get high school credits so im going to drop my oboe, then pich it back up in high school, is that a good idea?

Getting HS credits and playing oboe are both worthy endeavors.

Why can`t you do both?

You should make time each day or on weekends to practice, at least enough time, to maintain your current playing level.

I would suggest to get the High School credits and play the oboe at the same time, but if you don`t want to do that just play the oboe in your spare time.
