I was wondering. What Summer music camps everyone is going to?

Colorado State University has a summer music camp that i go to every summer...it`s a lot of fun...not too expensive...nice people...really just for fun!

Music summer camp? AHHHH! My summer`s already absolutely packed with three Girl Scout camps and/or trips, a computer camp, a National Beta Convention, and a trip to New York with the school.

I`ve always wanted to go to a music camp, but I don`t know any near me. However, I AM going to a hybrid music/computer camp (five hours away!) where I`ll learn how to make awesome MP3s on my computer and sound like a whole orchestra. Fun!

University of Houston Cougar band camp with almost every body in my school who got a band camp scholar ship i was going to go to University of Texas in Austin but can you say expensive even with the scholarship :0

UGA baby! bulldawgs boogied all week. though 8 hours is bit much it waz rather unique. the days are long,but the food is fab.

why just dont relax???
u american guys and girls seem to be very considered about extracurricular events!

For some of us (including me), our regular school band bores us to death the whole year, so we need some kind of extra-curricular event to fill in the void. I do have plenty of relaxation time, too. The camp only takes up 2 weeks of the summer.

Back on topic. The extra-curricular event that I`m going to is MusiCamp Alberta, which takes place on the campus of Red Deer College, in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, from July 24 to August 7. This is also the fifth and final year I`m going, because I`m going to university in 2 years, and because the camp is really expensive. But hey, it`s an experience I`ll remember for my whole life, and my parents just like to get rid of me for 2 weeks!

if u live in new york city the manhattan school of music has a great camp. i went to it for 3 yrs, however it only accepts middle school students and all students must be advanced and pass an audition, however it is free. anyone who might be eligible should look into it, it`s great!

I`m attending Interlochen this summer. It`s an excellent music acadamy and music camp in Michigan.

Caitlin, what part of Michigan do you live in? I`m planning on going to Interlochen next summer. I passed it on my way to Frankfort,MI and its gorgeous up there. I heard that its a fantastic place to go!

I live about 45 mintues south of Detroit in a small town called Fraser.

Oboist, what grade are you in this coming year? I`m a Sophmore.

I`m going to be a freshman this year, but I won`t be going to any music camps
