This is a cute little gadget for keeping an oboe humid.
http://www.humistat.com/prod01frame.htm
One came the oboe I just purchased.
I think it`s pretty ingenious, but where should it be placed. If I put it in the oboe case accessory compartment, and close the lid, I think the moisture will be restricted to the accessory compartment, and the humidity will not reach the oboe.
So, where to put it? Is it really practical, and effective?

Just cheked it out in the Internet. Seems like a good idea. I think the only place there will be room for it would be inside the bocal.
I really consider buying one.
Any oppinions about humistat out there?

Is it okay to let reeds dry or should they be kept in a humid environment?
How about putting a humistat in the reed case?

To find a reedcase with room for a Humistat might be hard.
Everyone says the reeds should be allowed to dry out between sessions, but maybe they can be too dry, I don`t know. Never thought about storing my reeds in a semi-dry environment.
