Oboes have screws for adjustment, and some oboes are sold with a screw driver.

Do oboists typically make adjustments, or leave adjustments to repair techs?

Most professionals adjust their own instruments, usually students don`t really but you can learn how to. It`s not really that hard, all you need is cigarette paper and a screwdriver and you can make your own adjustments.
