hi oboists--I started this online music project--a corny cover of "Fly Around My Pretty Little Miss" and would love a oboe player to do a solo at the end of it! Any or all oboists that know how to record themselves and make an mp3 (or zipped WAV--I am on highspeed connection) of their track so that i could mix it into my master are welcome to jam on it!

Here is the track:

http://herman.serveftp.com:1028/maz/Fly_around_my_pretty_little_miss2.mp3

Import this MP3 into your multitrack recording software at measure 1, 125 bpm. Record your track (which should start around measure 45) then email me your mp3 of your soloed track!!!

People on the track so far: me (USA) vox, ukulele, drum programming, wilhelm (Germany) piano; Tony (England) harmonies.

Our online jamming site is:

http://jamwith.us

thanks!

herman

Hi Herman
I may give it a try this week, just for fun.
I don`t have a multitrack recorder, but if I listen to the track while playing, it will be just as useful. I have very good mikes.

cool--i hope you add to it! there are many free software-based multitrack recorders out there:

cubasis
n-track

http://www.audiotoolsdirect.com/Recorders/Multitrack/

you can import the mp3 into them and then record your oboe on a separate track...and then export your oboe track soloed to me and I can mix it into the main song.
