Does anyone know of a good oboe solo to perform with a band accompaniment? I`m looking for something fun and light (perhaps a theme and variations) suitable for the community band listener.

There is a Rimsky-Korsakov piece for solo oboe and band. It is a theme and variation piece. There is another piece called Autumn Soliloquy, it looks quite nice, not jolly and springy, but very evocative. Those are the only two piece I know of for that combination.
