I`m going to do harmony/fanfare exam C this year. And I was just wondering if there is something like that also in other countries (I`m from the Netherlands). It`s an exam out of 2 pieces, theory and playing. You`ve got A, B, C and D. I did A in my 3rd year and B in my 5th year (now it`s my 7th year). Well, if you know something about such exam please tell me!!!!!!!

I live in Texas (U.S.) and we have something called all-valley. It`s sort of like a compitition. I also know that our high school band went to state, for some other compitition.

Thnx for your reply, but this is more like an exam and not a competition. When you succeed you get a diplom, there is by the way also a part about listening, like recognizing intervals.
