This concert season in my band I am planning on renting the school oboe and learning to play it for one of the bands. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me as a beginner. Any advice would be appreciated.

Get a private teacher to teach you the basics and everything.

Thanks. I cant afford a private teacher right now so I was thinking of asking a friend who is really good on oboe to help me for the time being.
