Where has the Million Long Thread gone???

maybe its gone because it was a total waste of space and did not have any real meaning, ya know??

I`m sorry anime. First, everything I said, was getting pulled off. Second, I will no longer use any part of this forum, including where I have added credibility and knowledge to the guitar part. Third, I will no longer recommend this forum to friends, affiliates and corporate sponsors.

The reason I`m very disappointed, and unimpressed is not because the forum is universally inadequate, or not meeting it`s objectives. But rather, it`s operators can`t think outside the box, beyond what they believe is practical or necessary.

Here`s a real example. I am a big believer in another music forum, where I participate. There is a category for general discussion. While I personally do not engage in the general discussion, I do recognize the validity of it. So let the members talk politics, or about what jam to use on their toast. I don`t have to read it if I don`t want.

The strangest thing is that there is a PhD Doctor of Sociology constantly in the guitar topics, instead of general. He publishes whole papers, maybe 15,000 words or more. It`s about the bickering between other forum members. Especially those who say "my guitar is better than yours!" "I play better than you." "Such `n Such a band suc*ks, and someone else rul*es." Well, that`s talkin`. Helps people to explore their feelings, explaining the reasons they say what they do, & help all get along. Talks about how people & society behave.

Your idea, in it`s own unique way was the closest thing to that.

I also liked it because I am a Rocket Scientist. And there`s no forum for astronauts or anything. It was alot of fun ... your thread, and I think it was developmental to people as musicians, human beings and World-wide neighbours.

Don`t expect business oriented pragmatists to see that. Either they are lacking the education, or money is the bottom line.

The lesson we have learned is reality bites. We will be better people than before. Growing is a challenge. All the best. Strat man Dwight
