Im seriously shocked no one mentioned the option of being in colorguard. At my school, there are 8 oboes and of that 6 are in colorguard. I think marching a oboe would be cool but difficult, and completely insane if you have a wooden instrument. I know you have it in you to do colorguard, as our school is state champions and somehow all the new members pulled through and kicked butt.

well, has anyone ever seen the movie (the older one of) The Scarlet Pimpernell?? just b/c at the very beginning a band marches through with oboeS and bassoonS marching! i dunno about color guard, i wouldn`t do it b/c our`s is pretty silly. I think that next year i`m gonna be playing in percussion pit. this year i was a sort of band `manager`

Yeah, ours is pretty silly. I saw the old scarlett pimpernel in french class last year. I dont remember the band tho
