I`m looking for an English horn and a very nice oboe to buy before I go to college, but I don`t know what kind is really good. Right now I have a Rigoutat RIEC oboe and I am using my schools english horn thats ok but not great. Please give me some suggestions on what brand is good. Thanks.

I would suggest Loree for Engligh Horn and Oboe. But the Yamaha Oboes are pretty good. But I would go with Loree EH. I just bought a Loree EH and plays wonderfully. But than you gotta go into bocals. Pick a good English Horn out first and than a nice Oboe and than you can move onto Bocals. But be sure to tryout a lot of both and don`t be afraid to look into used instruments either. GOOD LUCK!
