Is it true that the soundwaves, or something like that, can be bad for the brain?

Oboes kill. Don`t expect to live more than 12 to 14 years after taking it up.































Actually what you`re thinking of is air pressure backing up on the brain. However this is a myth. Oboes are harmless.

I don`t think so or at least i hope not!! I `v only heard of getting brain tumors or something like that!!That is from the air pressure though!!

My oboe teacher has been playing for more than 50 years. I admit he is a little nuts but he is fine.

Ever notice that most people who stick to oboe for a long time are a little wierd? I know a few professional oboists who are obsessed with lee valley tools. They didn`t even reccomend it to eachother or anything.

hey i would prefer a life of 60 years with the oboe to a life of 70 years without!

my oboe teacher has 9 teeth.....

While the oboe sounds bad, I doubt it can play loud enough to cause brain damage.
