Linton...Selmer....?

I was looking to get an oboe, and i came across a Linton and a Selmer oboe. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about these brands, or have any comments to make. Anythings Appreciated!

Some selmers are ok. The Selmer Signet is decent - just dont get a plastic one. lintons are fairly nice too.
