Anyone know anything about Polisi bassoons? I have a Concert Model which has loads of extra keys and gadgets.I think it was made by Schreiber. It has covered holes for left hand 1st & 3rd fingers. If anyone can tell me anything i.e. how long they were in producton for, who made them etc I'd be grateful.

ooh sounds cool. What other extra gadgets are there? I've never heard of them though. I'd suggest looking on the internet but (besides being the obvious thing) you can rarely find bassoon info on the internet as it is. I think your best bet is writing to someone who works for schreiber or something. Maybe going to see a bassoon specialist.

Somehow I always thought they were made in Poland. Is that just because Polisi sounds like Poland? I wonder......

I don't think they are made by Schreiber - but obviously further research is in order!

Well, well. I just did a google search and according to one source, Polisi is made by Schreiber. So you might be able to get some information from them or from a long-time Schreiber stockist.
