It will be a Czech made instrument imported into UK by Boosey & Hawkes in the 1960s & 70s. They are very variable - OK to dire and now about 30-40 years old. But not as bad as the Chinese Larks from the period.

I agree with Ian, but the Louis Mk2 was made by Selmer, probably a Bundy also imported by B & H and not quite so old.

I don't think I've come across a MK ll - I've only ever seen the Czech ones (too many) - also at various times labeled Corton, King, Amati & B&H400.

I had a Mk11 a couple of years ago.It had the Bundy, of that period, problem of peeling varnish.Apart from that it was solidly made and played reasonably well, bit on the 'stuffy' side though.

Forgot to mention, the Mk11 was also sold as the B & H Emperor for a while in the late 70's.
