I know this is a big jump but I have about 5 - 6 months to practice and become a average bassoon player. Know here comes the reason why I made this topic, I have never played a woodwind instrument and for the most of the 5 to 6 months that I have to practice I will not be able to talk to my Band teachers, so what are some good sites that teach people how to play woodwinds and what books are good for bassoon. Thanks in advance.

Well, maybe I misworded this topic. I was wondering how to switch from brass to woodwind.

Nvm, I'm just going to get a private tutor.

That's absolutely the best thing - get a private tutor. They will furnish you with fingering charts, exercise books, etc., and get you properly on the road to woodwind playing.

Yeah, I found a private tutor in my area for 70$ a month for both Tuba and Bassoon, seems like a great deal to me ^^
