I havent learned yet how to make Bassoon reeds, and I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation? Right now I use Jones hard reeds, and they work well, but the factory that made them burned down and they are hard to find. What should I try in the meantime that isnt $30.00 per reed?

The factory didn't burn down; they went out of business. But it appears this was temporary, as I have just heard that Jones may be back in business now. Try their website again before you go somewhere else.

Thanks! I always get reeds locally because I oredered reeds online once, and all 3 were broken upon arrival. One was split, and the other two crushed. I'll try the local stores again.
