Hello, I have a bassoon that my parents bought in Tampa Florida when I was in middle school. The seller told us that it was hand made in Europe and it is one of four instruments made out of the same tree. It has no manufacture marks on it anywhere, not even under the cap on the boot (several musicians and instructors said to look there). The only numbers (p086) on the instrument is on the metal band on the top of the boot. Any information would be great. A link to the pictures has been included in this post. Thanks. <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://s90.photobucket.com/user/Joshs60r/embed/slideshow/Mobile%20Uploads"></iframe>

Sorry to disappoint you but I'm pretty sure it's not 'hand made in Europe'. It looks to be of Chinese manufacture. In the UK they were called Lark. I don't know what the US name would be.

I didn't really it was handmade. Just going off what I was told. How much would it be worth if it was Chinese?
