Does anyone know how to read the clef that looks like a ladder? I play bassoon and we got an old orchestra piece with that clef on it and I don`t know how to read it. If anyone can help me, please do.

Thats another way that the draw the tenor cleff sign. tenor cleff looks like a backwards three. how it works is that the note which is usually the middle F becomes a high C
-C-

----------------------------------------F-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So in this case (F) is the same thing as (C)

Thats wrong, you`re reffering to bass clef. Tenor clef is:

------------------
--middle c--------
------------------
------------------
------------------

And I`m not even a bassoonist

actually now that i looked at my own thing i did it just how i ment it to look the first time. i was trying to show where (c) and (f) where and saying that F=C. so basically where you see the (F) you replace it with the (C) that is generally at the top.
