I went on my first march on Sunday, now I can not even hit e on the staff and I usually play up to c above the staff. What should I do to regain my notes?

Towards the end of the parade or after it did your lips feel numb or sure? If this happened and/or you had trouble playing high before you were done playing, chances are you did blow out your lips. Whenever this used to happen to me (now I have enough endurance), I would take about 2 days (probably Sat. and Sun.) and not play at all or just in ur band class. If you still see no improvement in your playing ability, ask your band instructor for permission not to play so your lips can get even more rest. I hope this helps, Tara.

Yup my lips did feel numb and my band teacher granted me two days rest. I don`t suppose he could grant me anymore because I have the lead in all the up comming events.

It means your lips get so tired that you cannot get the proper emboucher to pitch a note.

just keep practicing. just start from c and keep going up, and when you finnally hit it. HOLD IT! thats the best thing i can thin of....
