I have noticed that within the past couple days, my tone has become really airy (like there is excess air coming out with my sound) I have always had a very nice, full tone, and I am very concerned about how it could have gotten worse in just a couple days. There are some possible reasons why this could have happened (though I don`t know how!) First, the day before my tone started sounding different I played for five hours...I don`t know if that could have affected anything. Maybe my lip is exhausted? Also, I was doing a lot of tripple tonguing. Could that have changed my embechure? I really don`t know what I should do to regain my good tone. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I have noticed that after a couple of days of strenuous practice and rehearsal sessions totalling 6-8 hours, my tone also gets a little airy. When that happens I just let my lips rest for a whole day and everything seems to come back together. So I figure it`s probably muscle fatique.

That airy tone problem happened to me to. I i think that dude ^ is right because the day before i played for like 4 hours.... so maybe ill rest today.

you need to strengthen... all of you who have this problem. lip slurs and long tones is the best way

Lip slurs realy pi$$ me off. I start sounding so crappy its not even funny!!

we all hate them but they help you become a better player
