I`m at school now, but i never would have learned trumpet if the school didnt introduce it..
That`s how we all get into band right? But when you finish school..you finish band...therefore that`s the end of your trumpeting..right? I duno..

I mean it`s not like there`s a "uni band" is there..
what do you guys who have finished school do? Do you join an outside one? how?

i know that i need braces but by the time i get them off im not sure ill be playing trumpet anymore so whats the point..

If you enjoy playing trumpet and have learned to play well, when you finish school (college included) you shouldn`t have to look far to find opportunities to keep playing.

Get involved with a church that has a orchestra. I am in the one at my church and we have people from ages 15-65 (but people can be in it until they die!) It`s a ton of fun!

Also check out any community bands/orchestras that may exist in your area. You can participate in them now as well as after school. I play in two community bands, one of which has members ranging in age from 13 to 87, all volunteer musicians, and we have loads of fun rehearsing and presenting concerts.
