Triple tonguing is done by going "tu-tu-kuh", or "ta-ta-kah" in rapid succession. There`s also double-tonguing ("tu-ku-tu-ku-tu-ku" or "ta-ka-ta-ka-ta-ka"). Have patience in learning the techniques. Remember to toungue "on" the airstrean instead of "through" it, and make the tongue movement quick and crisp.

Well, he was right on double tougning, but I have found that when learning to triple doing ta-kah-ta has worked wonders with getting your tougne to moving that fast

if you say doo-goo then you`ll flow faster and it`ll have a much richer tone.. tah-kah makes for a bland tone and ur pitch varries and when ur pitch varries it never returns to its original pitch..
so doo-goo is much perferred by most people when u have to flow well and very FAST!.. i learned that as an eighth grader and im the best double touger / triple in our WHOLE high school band..
in the arbans book it teaches you ta-ka.. because in french tah-kah and du-gu are the same syllable.. so when the tranlastion wuz made it wuz made wrong.. just thought i`d like to pass that on to those who dont no..
