If you want a nice, pro quality, silver Bb trumpet and are limited to spending $700 or less, go to www.wwbw.com or www.giardinelli.com and check out the Blessing ML-1S trumpet. It`s essentially identical to the Bach 180S-37 Strad. Giardinelli is currently out of stock with availability expected 10-20-2005, but www.wwbw.com (Woodwinds and Brass Winds) says they have it in stock. Both dealers offer it on line for $659.00 with free shipping. I`ve been playing my ML-1S since last December, and love it.

you could get a used trumpet. or you could go for a getzen. they make good trumpets (especially for jazz) at a very reasonable price
