IM taking a band class and i have to memorize all 12 different major scales. For those of you who have them memorized how long did it take u to do so? Thanks. I already know the following scales: C, F, Bb, Eb, G, and A. Any strategies would also be greatly appreciated. (IM studying them from Arban`s)

just work on one scale for ten minutes and than another for ten minutes it should take you 120 minutes or 2-4 days of practice. it took me 2 days after one 30 minutes each day. but for most people it will take longer

It`s impossible to determine how long it may take one person or another to learn and/or memorize all 12 major scales, so if you don`t have them all down perfectly in 2-4 days practicing 10 per day on them, don`t get discouraged. When you get the major scales down, you may as well go right on ahead and work on the minor scales as well, and don`t forget to also learn the arpeggios for each.
