I listened to the recording, and if that weak squeak was a quad c, not saying I can hit it, I can go higher than I thought I could.

Why bother with a note that high? It is not like you`re going to use it in a normal musical setting. Stupid trumpet egos... you`re only adding to the stereotype. Stop it. >_<

Who cares about stupid trumpet egos? I was only trying to validate the fact that a "quad" C of sorts does exist. Plus, the possiblity of a trumpet player with over 6 octaves! That is about the same as a tuba player! Did you not listen to the recording? Gosh....

that recording was crazzzy.......i myself can only get to a double G but its squeaky when i do. I dont know how to increase my airspeed but if i did then i think id have the chops to hit at least a double G. My private lesson teacher said the highest note he hit in a gig without it being a squeak was a F above a grand C. That amazes me. Im a junior in high school, by the way.

your tuner must have missed the last part of the recording... he hit the g and kept going on quietly... and it is paossible to play six otaves if you use pedal tones. i have five from double pedal c to double c.... a trumpet player with really good range could have a 6 octave range.
