Hey guys,

If i have the key in which a song is being played(guitar), how do i figure out what key it is in on the trumpet. Or if it is the same key, what notes would i play? Is there a website with a series of scales for each key? Thanks for your consideration guys, i really apprecaite your help for a novice player.

I don`t know what key guitar music is written in, but concert Bb on a piano is C on a Bb trumpet (one step above as written for piano).

Say is the song was in A how would i come to figure out what to play, or if the music was in B how would i find out what to play. Is there a general rule? or a website that explains it. When i figure out what key its in, is there scales to follow??? where do i find them?
