hey...the key to playing higher is more and faster air...breathe from your diaphram (stomach) and not your head or shoulders. I`ve played the trumpet for about 6 years and had similar problems...if you ever wanna chat IM me or something at smileb1117

Ive been playing for now 7 years. I am not a high note specialist but the key is air. when you take a breathe, don`t make your shoulders move up or dont suck in your stomach. I want you to lie down and breathe and put your hand on your stomach and feel how to breathe out. once you stand up you wont breathe that way. YOU HAVE TO FILL THE HORN WITH AIR. USE FAST WARM AIR. ITS CALLED BREATHING DEEP.

I can play high notes no one hear too. In fact, right now i`m playing that quad-C, can`t you hear it? That`s right, cause I`m so good .
Someone above referenced "double" c as the one two ledgers above the staff...That`s not right. You have C in the staff, which most trumpet players call middle C (although yes, technically the `middle` c is the one below the staff), and "low c" which is below the staff. you have C above the staff, which is generally "high c"; double C is C in the one in the 6th space between ledgers from the top of the staff. If that guy was playing Double C in two years, mad props.

high notes... the eternal problem of most trumpet players... try some method books. I personally like stamp`s warm ups and embochoure builder... then some lip flexiblity excercises using collin`s books. Oh, and patience keep on practicing and good luck
