Keep working on The Entertainer and Maple Leaf Rag. Remember that anytime a note is too high for you, you can always play it down an octave. The book/CD combo Jazz Bossa Novas (Jamey Aebersold Volume 31) has 11 songs, only one of which goes above staff. It would give you some good material to work on. If your local music store doesn't have it in stock, it's available from:
Jamey Aebersold Jazz, Inc.
P.O. Box 1244
New Albany, IN 47151-1244
Phone: 1-800-456-1388
Website: www.jazzbooks.com
The price printed on my copy (which I've had for a couple of years) is $14.90. For what it includes, $1.35 per song isn't bad at all.

The titles included are: The Girl From Ipanema, Meditation, Wave, Quiet Night of Quiet Stars, Desafinado, Once I Loved, How Insensitive, Little Boat, Summer Samba, and One Note Samba.
BTW. There are ten songs instead of eleven. The 11th track on the CD is tuning notes.
