Ok....
Every one always gets me confuesed on this...

I consider a double C to be one octave above your tuning note.. Correct...
then that would make the D a double D correct??

If you consider that note a double C then it would make sense for the D a step above it to be a double D. But i'm nearly positive that the note an octave above 3rd space C is known as a high C and the one an octave above that is known as a double C. (i hope this helps).

Ok there's no considering to be done. It's a fact that double high c is one octave higher than the c you're thinking of. You're thinking of high c. it goes a little like this. Low c, c(tuning note) high c, and double high c. you got things cleared up?

The G on the second line might be known as middle G. But thats just a guess, I never really thought about it before.
