Girl trumpets rock! My band's trumpet section leaders are both girls and they kick a**. I say if you can play good, then go with it.

Ah! Girl trumpet players. Not many of you girls. However, there's a little 5th grader in one of these wind groups im in. She sure can play. Her father is a pro, and im pretty sure she can out play kids 3 or 4 grades above her!

In my all-district band, the first chair was a junior guy and the second a senior girl (only girl in the top band) so, obviously TrumpetKid is right...Guy Trumpeters Rule!

I played Trumpet in my high school's jazz ensemble - there were five of us. Three girls, and two guys (including myself). We were (fortunetely) out-numbered.

In fact, on of the girls, Julie, was one of the best high school Trumpet players I had ever heard.

I was surrounded by women in the French Horn section of my wind ensemble as well. The section leader was also a girl - I didn't get that chair until she graduated.

This is completely ridiculous. There's no difference in playing ability that stems from gender (I guess you're just looking for some female pride?) Well for what it's worth, UCRs lead tpt player is a petite middle aged woman who can blow the hell out of the 1st book.

in my school of 1500 people we only have one female trumeter. so sad

i'm a girl trumpet player and everyone says i kick serious butt, but personally i dont think so. Ok maybe a little.

This will be my 6th year playing trumpet, and I have to admit- I'm freakin' awesome. Last year when I was in my last year at the middle school, the high school band director, Mr. Burke (he retired ), invited me to play in the high school jazz band. I'm also first seat in my class for concert band and jazz band back at the middle school..... I'm also right up there in Marching Band

im a boy and im the best trumpet in my grade but we have two girl drum majors one who is a trumpet, our section leader is a girl and she is an amazing trumpet and she plays a 1-1/4C but i also had more girls than boy trumpets in our jazz band last year (3:2)
