Hey guys! another problem ... I know that when playing a high C with first valve, the note is more accurate. is there an alternate fingering for a Double High E that also makes it more acurate? as opposed to 2nd valve? ... thanks all!

thanks guys i asked my teacher and he said to try 2,3 but it could also be just 2 apparently it depends on the person... ps my teacher (Robert Oades) said that valve 1 is a more accurate fingering for high C try it...it's true!

It depends greatly on the horn. Some horns slot better with certian fingerings, while others may not.
My high C is best when played open, by D can be both open and first, my high E is better open, and F is first.
It depends on the horn.

practice hearing the e before you play it
after that it shouldnt be necessary to find an accurate fingering
