It's really easy, just so you know. Just remember that the tighter you press your lips, the higher the note, and the looser your lips are, the lower the note. It might seem a little young, but it is really helpful—you can buy a trumpet book and learn all the notes and fingerings from the start. Also, a tube of valve oil is practically mandatory. You can also buy cleaners for the tubes, but they don't serve much purpose. Also, the latch things at the end of the first chamber and another chamber is for spit release. Whenever your sound kinds of stop-goes-stop-goes quickly, press the top of one, put your mouth against the mouthpiece, and blow as hard as you can. So I would recommend getting a trumpet book, that's how I started.

Also, remember to buzz your lips when you play.
