"In The Hall of the Mountain King"? That's interesting for Christmas. I would have actually suggested that for a Halloween concert, but who am I to say what you should play. We are playing a couple medleys and others:
1. A Christmas Celebration: Has the songs Farandole (not sure what the carol name is), Greensleeves, I Saw Three Ships, etc.
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas: My favorite because during the part "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch", The melody is played by me on bassoon and with bari sax for a cool duet sort of thing.
3. A really interesting Carol of the Bells: different time meters are played against each other as well as different melodies.
4. Christmas Pops Sing-Along: Really well-known favorites like Rudolph, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, etc. that the audience can sing along to.
I don't think I forgot any, I hope. Well have a happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Oh, yeah, I did forget the Manheim Steamroller medley with all sorts of different things. It's really hard to get used to playing it because it starts out in 12/8 time!
