I am currently wondering as to which size schilke would be most like a bach 3c or a bach 5c. I am kind of confused on the sizing chart but am looking to purchase one of this type.

id just stick with a bach but whatever works for you best is most def the one you should choose. i play a bach 5c most all of the time but i have a schilke 12 which is sorta btween bach 5 and 7c i have a bach 7c also and it feels pretty much like the schilke 12 if you really want go with a 13c4 or a 13b 13c5 being just like a bach 3c and 13b like a 5c

Why not just stay with the same mouthpiece you had before? I play on a Bach 3c for concert band. I recently got a Shilke 10a4a for jazz band. It has a higher range and a totally better sound for any jazz work. It depends what you are going to be playing if you change mouthpieces...Sometimes it is just better to stay with the same one. If you are looking to upgrade to a better fuller sound for concert music, then use a Bach 3c or 5c. If you are more experienced, I recommend a 3c. (I love my bach 3c)

I wish there was a chart that told you the equivalents of the Bach C system. Schilkes, Yamahas, and a couple others I cant remember at this moment, all have different labelling systems. If anyone finds such a chart please let the rest of us know, it'll make shopping for mouthpieces a lot easier.
