Any advice on good summer band camps? I was thinking about going to Texas A&M. Advice on this one or on others?

Interlochen is an awsome summer camp you should check that out. Also if youre old enough and like marching band you should check out drum corps international. Thats like all summer. I also went to Central Michigan University summer band camp. That ones pretty cool too. Check around on the internet for others cause theres plenty of great ones.

Yeah, I already checked Interlochen and I'm looking for something a little cheaper lol. I'd rather go to a camp than do drum corps cuz I don't care for marching band nearly as much as concert. Thx though.

There's a great jazz band camp at Simpson College in Indianola, IA. It's a short drive from an international airport. It's led by a big band made of previous members of the Stan Kenton band.

If you like opera and typical concert band things, check out the Orpheus Music Camp at Simpson. It's a Sunday-Sunday of opera, rehearsals, and classes.

I can get you details on both if you're interested. I want to say these run around 450-500 for each camp, with a few scholarships available.
