Hello everybody! I myself can go a bit higher than my friends. I can bend notes up and do falls and everything. But I can't shake or wobble for my life! I was wondering how to do that. How to shake a note.

first sustain the note and blow air through the horn to the next partial above your note without changing valve position. I think ooeeooeeooeeooee with my tongue to help guide the air onto both notes. You just basically smear between the two notes...fast or slow. good luck

Actually ya I am. I just saw him live in Carlsbad, CA about a month ago and I love his work. He's one of my favorites and a good role model for us tpt players.

I saw him after a Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band concert at the Jazz Bakery in LA. We talked for about 15 minutes. We talked about mouthpieces and all sorts of other stuff. He's really nice. My school's jazz band got to do a concert with him last year. I was playing bass then but I am the lead trumpet player now. By the way, thanks for the information on the wobbles. It worked! I did it before zero period one day while I was warming up. Our band sometimes plays songs without our band director before he comes. Anyway, I did it a couple times in some songs where it sounded like it would fit and all my friends looked at me like I was a super hero! Thank you.
