all trumpets are boys...
even though i had 3 girls and 2 boys in our jazz band last year
trumpet is the eaisest instrument
trumpet players are the worst behaved
(which from our area is pretty true except for the people who really care or try which is not that much except me )

In my band every year so far the trumpets have had a reason to be arrogant and its because we have been the best. Exspecially this year for marching band. We are learning our fourth movement drill. Our instructor likes us to know the music before we get the drill but most of our woodwind section is still memorizing movement 2 which we have had since the beginning of JUNE. That and being arrogant helps us play because insisting we can do this or play that actually gets us in the mind set to do it. The whole thing if you say you can then you can't thing.

percussionists are big screw-off's who mess around all the time<--100% true!! haha. Well, at least i am.

flutes are huge snobs who think they know better just because there instrument only weighs 5 pounds. that's a stereotype.

there's some stereotypes.

i dunno, ive been in two bands. The first band had the most arrogant, selfcentered, egocentrical, annoying, little buttfaces ive ever had the displeasure to meet. But now the trumpets in my new band are mostly kind. Except for the 2nd chair the rest are very nice and when they do "show off" you can tell they get embarassed in front off the band. guess it really depends on the people

bah, trumpet players (leads mainly) are allowed to be a little arrogant, cocky and a show off. Lead trumpet players often get the hardest parts especially in jazz and big bands. theyre parts are the fastest, the highest and the most technically demanding, therefore they are allowedto get annoyed when other people of the band cant get there bit right and the lead trmpet is playing their ass off!!!

and yes we are the best kissers... ive had that compliment many a time :D

handy tip, flute players are a no go!!!

Being a former trumpet player, I have nothing but respect for you guys. It ain't easy playing that little horn. Yes, some trumpet players can be arrogant, and often times annoying, but without them you don't have squat. So I guess you guys are worth keeping around lol jk.
