Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum so whatever.

I have band camp coming up real fast and I've been searching on the internet for some pieces.

The Solo piece MUST have a piano accompaniment, but the audition piece can be as long or short as I want.

I don't need the music, just recommendations, I can order them. (But if you have them that would be fantastic, e-mail me at speddyfeddy1234@yahoo.com)

To give examples of my playing, I'm going to be a junior in High School, one piece I was looking at was A Trumpeters Lullaby, I have some trouble with double tounging if consistent (like ta-ka-ta-ka-ta-ka-ta-ka, you get it). My regular playing range is usually up to an A but if not too fast or demanding then C's.

Thanks in advance!

um.. well i have a nyssma piece if your from New York we have these pieces we're given and we play them for a judge along with scales and sight reading, i have a few there's one called Andante et Allegro by Guy Ropartz which has a few high A's and one high B there's also Maid of the Mist by Herbert L. Clarke I didn't know how to double tounge when i did maid of the mist but there's a lot of sixteenth notes the piece is practically made up of them.

I think i have few others if you want but if these work for you good luck ^__^

Trumpet Voluntary is an amazing classical piece if done right. A real key is playing turns instead of trills (always a give-away that the player isn't familiar with the baroque style).

If you can find "Sonata", by Burnett Tuthill, that is a professional level solo that can be mastered in a couple of weeks of steady practice.

Another great piece is "All 'Antica" by Alphonse Goeyens.

Here is a partial list of other solos I've used.

Fantasie Brilliante (Abran), Petite Piece Concertante (Balay), Andante and Scherzo (Barat), Concert Etude (Goedicke), Aria Con Variazioni (Handel), Concerto, 1st Movement (Haydn, Sonata, 1st Movement (Kennan), Opening solo, Piano Concerto in G (Ravel), Andante and Allegro (Ropartz), March from Movement 1, Symphony No. 5 (Shostakovich), Ballarina’s Dance from Petrouchka (Stravinsky).

Another option is to use the "Rubank Concert and Contest Collection for Trumpet". You can buy that online for $4-$5, plus shipping.

Hope this helps.
