I live in Louisiana and want to form a jazz band but I cant any good free music.

when it comes to jazz it's not all about reading music. it's about having a rythme section and improvisation. it's about having everyone playing the same rythme/scale and improvising off of it. like the pianist would start a rythme the bass would come in then the drums and then the rest of you guys will come up with a rythme and take turns improvising.
