Look, Music, is an opinion based subject, I`ve played trumpt for 10 ish years, and to me, Maynard ferguson, is #1 in the "Range+Jazz+Style+control" department, and, Louis armstrong, in the "Blues+Tone+style" Department..
It`s all opinion, there really isnt a "#1"

Beautiful Solo done by Derek Watkins, he should gain lil more Chop endurance, and, his tone is near perfect, he has great contol in range, and at that, a decent range...

He has PERFECT control with 64th notes in all areas at around 160-210 tempo, its crazy..
he isnt well know, i cant find anything by him on Limewire or Kazza, but i have a cd of him.. He is crazy..

Yea, i took lessons from him, Damn expensive, Damn..
He can do some damage to the wallet =/

All i know is, He plays with as much air as possible, even on a pianissimo, he forces so much air, and, Never uses pressure..
I used 1.3L of pressure when i played, he bout kicked my ass, litterally..
