Personally, it come down to Wynton Marsalis and Allen Vizutti, but I am clearly more impressed with Allen Vizutti. He is outstanding.

I think that Wyton Marsalis is the best trumpet player right now.

hakan hardenberger if your talking about a man in classical playing who can pull off exactly the same superb quality of performance everytime he's your man.
There is also wynton who is a superb player but i feels he plays his trumpet a little too clinically and then trys to put some soul into his playing by using fancy decoration.
