Going from a student or intermediate horn to a professional top of the line trumpet is the best feeling ever!

Good for him. It seems like he deserves it.

But the mouthpiece was nothing special by the way... Probably just a more generic one, just with a gold rim...but the gold rims are nice and comfortable.
