Are you making fun of my quotation mark use?

Dan,

No. I am not making fun of your quatation marks.
I am commenting on Chris desaire not to have long term friends. I am refering to the comment "how do you expect to find a girl your age" and the fact Chris doe snot want a girl his age (and all the enuendos associated with that).

Im not sure what you meant by this:

"I hope it is not a reflection on
John Aley
Michael A. Davison,
Vince DiMartino,
Thomas Drake,
Jan D. Roller, or
Allen Vizzutti"

I'm not sure what you meant by this

John-- I wasn't mad at you or anything, I was just wondering. Also, I don't understand who or what you're referring to either.

<Added>

(At the beginning, I was quoting Curtis.)

Dan -
I did not think you were mad at me, just asking if I was refering to your use of quotes earlier and I was not. The quotes I used were to emphasize specific word groups. It is a method by which the person writing the sentence can help you read between the lines or emphasize specific word groups.

To be more clear I am quite bothered by Curtis' remarks and attitude. At his age in the supposed musical environment he is in I am surprised he presents the attitude he does. I am really shocked that anyone would think women are better or worse at anything based on their gender. That would be like someone saying fat people can't play trumpet only Tuba. And skinny people can't play tuba only trumpet.

Most likely Curtis does not truely believe this. I am assuming he either does not like girls because he is afraid of them. Perhaps he asked someone out and they rejected him. Or perhaps, because he does have talent, girls his age are bothersome and he prefers older women (although I doubt it based on his attitude towards them). Or perhaps he is just doesn't like girls because he likes boys, but most !*****! men I know don't hate girls. So I suspect we are back at number one.

And now I am thinking completely different about him. So, Curtis, if you were shunned by a beautiful girl or if one made fun of you for any reason do not take it personally. IT is their loss. Every guy gets rejected , tall, short, long hair, short hair, etc. Based on your profile you have great talent in the music world. Enjoy your talent. Accept your talent but keep a slight bit of humbleness about you. A girl or young women you don't even see one day will walk up to you and ask if she can hold your trumpet. Let her hold your trumpet. It will end up in a beautidul lasting relationship.

We can all benefit from holding back one negative saying each day and replace it with something nicer. I think I heard that from a guy named Kenneth Larson many years ago. He was a very good muscian and a great positive attitude.

haha, sorry I'm not !*****! and I haven't been rejected by any women. To be completely honest with you, My friends (trumpetfool, enlightenedtrumpetdude, and ghettotrumpetblastard(lol) ) and I just decided to make accounts on this website to mess with people because being at boarding school is so boring. So While we posted all that dumb stuff, it was all just 3 teenage boys laughing at how mad people got... our views on women are a lot different than shown on this site.

I personally don't care whether or not you are a man or woman, I just like to play high notes

p.s. john, do you really know Ken, or were you just making it up because you saw my profile? he is the best!!!

I doubt Ken will know or remember me. But I believe I met him when I was in the Los Angeles Musicans Union years ago. I think I met him through either Marty Walker or more likely Rick Cox. Both did studio and movie work.

If it's the same Kenneth Larson.

It's probably the same one, he was a studio musician... That whole quote that you said was from him doesn't sound like Ken though.

Hmm,
Well ,maybe it was Rick, or Jim, or Marty.
It was probably late, or we were affected. Sorry if I misquoted him.

He is quite talented

Curtis-- I wondered if you really had those crappy opinions of women. It's interesting to hear that you don't really feel that way.

--P.S. I still think your jazz band is amazing.

and I haven't been rejected by any women.

If you haven't been rejected by any "women" (the term is questionable at this age), you can't have asked very many. Rejection is part of living.
