ok, so i play the trombone but i want to learn to play the trumpet, what would be a good beginning trumpet thats cheap (under 300). thanks

I'm not an expert on trumpets, but it seems to me that if you wand a decent trumpet, you'll have to go at least $350.

They have decent yamaha student models for pretty cheap...especially used.

You could possibly get an intermediate one on ebay for cheap.

Just look around. I think Yamaha, Besson, Bach, Conn, are all alright.

Please don't buy off of Ebay, it's the worst possible thing to do!!!

You should go to your local music shop and see if they sell second hand trumpets.

If you buy off of ebay, then you could get a rip - off version, and end up having to spend MORE money to buy a better one!!

I agree with TubaChick. Beware of ebay brass instruments. You may be able to find a new "Blessing" student model trumpet out there for less than 300. They are'nt the best horns, but it's what I used as a beginner and I never had a problem with it. Welcome to the winning team btw, hope you like trumpet.
