I am a highshool trumpet player and I want to purchace a new professional trumpet as an upgrade from my first. I was thinking about either getting a Bach Stradivarius 182 or a Yamaha Xeno YTR-8335RGS but I am open to other ideas. I am willing to spend up to $3,000. Tell me what you think.

I love to play down in the peddal tones as well as up to high E's. I enjoy playing fast but also slow melodic music. I also love jazz and clasical music.

Either horn is a good choice. I prefer the Xeno over the Strad. Try them out along with any others you can get your hands on. I also suggest the Conn Vintage One as a good all around horn. Good luck.

I have a CONN BSP1,
best horn i've ever played. I also have a Bach Strad with a Martin, the horn is so old i cant find the make, but to get back on topic, the CONN BSP1 is awsome throughout the melodical pieces. It soars out when it needs to, look at the first Cornet parts on Molly on the shore.

CONN and Bach are reasonable but i recomend the CONN.

I own a Strad along with a couple ppl I know. We all agree you can't go wrong with that. Only one exception...do not buy a brand new ones...the ones that are newly made are of way less quality I have heard, i recommend a slightly used one of some sort.
